Tada vadinta Tarptautine irklavimo draugijų federacija. Oficialiosios kalbos – prancūzų ir anglų. Aukščiausiasis organas – taryba, šaukiama kasmet per pasaulio arba Europos čempionatą. 2000 m. vienijo 110 šalių irklavimo federacijas.
